[chris(at)ukhandknitting.com] Update: Craft Club Linking Up, World Record Attempt (March 13) Chris Kingdom UKHKA Press Office: "We are currently working on another world record breaking attempt right now. The Longest Knitted Chain. This is being done to celebrate passing on skills across the generations through our Craft Club Campaign.
It encompasses a huge variety of community group categories where knitting goes on all across the UK.
This includes school and youth group Craft Clubs, university knitting groups, WI groups , library groups and many other community groups.
The great thing about this story is that people of all ages and backgrounds join together - linking up by knitting the chain and passing on knitting skills across the UK.
You can find out more about the knitted chain as we travel across the country to UK craft shows with our Craft Club Linking Up project, inviting everyone to knit a link and join it to the chain. We're just off to a show in Glasgow today and will be coming to ExCel in London 4-6 April. (Next week we are knitting spring flowers at Olympia Knitting + Stitching show 14 - 17 March as well as passing on skills at Wool House, Somerset House 13 - 24 March. Then it's the NEC 21 - 24 March.
