Dave Hampson runs two market stalls in two different counties. Chesterfield Market is outside in the main square near the Crooked Spire, Chorley Market is (inside) in the heart of Chorley.
'Dave the Woolman' has an unbelievable stall full of quality, colour and discounts! He has an extensive range from major suppliers and ranges from Budget to Bamboo, Cotton, including Organic, Aran, Chunky, Double Knitting, 4 Ply yarn, Sock Wool, 4 ply Cones, Pure Wool lines and Eco yarns, fashion and traditional yarns. Spin A Yarn is located in the pretty town of Bovey Tracey,which is the centre of the Devon Guild of Craftsmen and a gateway to Dartmoor National Park. Approaching Bovey Tracey from the A38, follow the “Town Centre” signs. At the roundabout by the fire station turn right. You then travel across the bridge passing the Devon Guild with its water wheel and Spin A Yarn is further up the hill in the centre of town on the left-hand side. There is plenty of carparking in Bovey close by to Spin A Yarn.
Spin A Yarn’s owner is an enthusistic spinner, so appreciates natural yarns from around the world in a kaleidoscope of colour. Her staff are friendly and knowledgeable and always ready to help.
The most common description of the shop is “An Aladdin’s Cave”. More than just a shop, Spin A Yarn is friendly place to meet up with fellow knitters over a cup of coffee, sit with your knitting, look at patterns and books and chat.
Spin A Yarn is famous for its extensive range of workshops with expert teachers such as Claire Crompton, Anniken Allis and Alison Crowther Smith. Every type of technique is covered such as Professional Finishing, Sock and Lace knitting, Fair Isle and Modular, as well as different types of Crochet. Situated in the High Street close to a bus stop and all local amenities. Walking distance from the Town Hall and Civic Offices, several pubs and restaurants. Parking is available in the High Street and there is ample parking at the rear of Marks & Spencer. There is a street market every Monday, when parking is reduced, but all makes for a good day out in Epping.
We are a family run store and have been trading for some 17 years where our eldest son, who grew up behind the counter now helps teach people to knit. We pride ourselves on friendly and fun service and on being as much a community meeting point as we are a knitting shop. Many of our customers visit every day and many others come from miles away to buy and chat.

Cocoon is situated in a busy pedestrianised
street off the main street, Church Road in Hove. It is surrounded
by outside cafes, a variety of shops, banks and building societies
and has a jolly cosmopolitan atmosphere. If you are a stranger
to Hove we are 4 roads to the west of Hove Town Hall in Norton
Road where there is also a car park. Free parking is available
for 2 hours in the Tesco car park which is behind George Street.

Cocoon is owned by a husband and wife
team, who have tried to create a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere
where people can browse and enjoy looking at a variety of exciting
quality yarns, patterns, ribbons, buttons, jewellery, cross
stitch and lots more. We are looking to run Knit & Natter groups
and are just starting classes & workshops and hope to help people
learn to knit in the community, our first project being the
local Brownies.

The shop is located near the centre of Battle, it is the second shop on the left hand side of Mount Street, a turning off the top end of the High Street, there is a florists shop on the corner. A little further along Mount Street, on the right hand side, is the main public car park for the town, pay and display unless you drive down to the bottom left hand corner and into the free overflow car park.
'An Aladdin's Cave' is a comment often heard when customers first walk in. I started the shop in 1989 and have been adding new crafts ever since, each of us in the shop endeavour to learn as much as we can so we can help and advise customers.

The shop is a family run business stocking natural yarns or yarns which contain a high percentage of natural fibres backed by a full range of knitting accessories and related products many of which are unavailable elsewhere on the Island, the shop is also the only UK retailer stocking the exciting Nantucket Knitting Bagg. Norfolk Yarn is situated on the north side of Norwich city centre, in between the inner and outer ring roads, on the A140 (Aylsham Road) heading north out from the city centre towards Norwich International Airport. The shop is located just outside the lovely Warwickshire village of Dunchurch. Set within around 50 acres of land and skirted by public footpaths for you to enjoy views of Draycote Water Reservoir you can of course also meet our 200 strong herd of pedigree alpacas. Close to Rugby, the M45, A45 and M1, Toft Alpaca Shop and studios are the perfect place to satiate your alpaca yarn cravings. You can also join us for one of the many textiles workshop that we run onsite from beginners knitting days to crochet and felting workshop.
The shop is based on farm alongside Toft Studios, our purpose built workshop and design rooms. We produce and sell 100% British baby alpaca yarn, knitting kits, machine knitted baby alpaca knitwear and accessories such as fur pom poms and locally hand turned buttons, toggles. Textiles workshops take place at studios throughout the year, they are bookable onsite or online. Toft Manor Cottage, our 4* self-catering accommodation makes for a great location if you would like to stay longer.

Located in the historic market town of Fishguard, Janes is situated
on the High Street (A40 Fishguard/Haverfordwest Road), on the right
hand side where the pavement narrows, just a short distance up from
the Square. Fishguard is home to the Last Invasion Tapestry
created to mark the 200th anniversary of the last invasion of Britain
by the French in 1797
Janes has changed over the years since our mother and grandmother
first opened the doors in 1966. Three years ago on our return
to Fishguard, the three cottages were completely renovated
and a coffee shop added. Visitors are welcome to bring their
dogs into our garden, open all year. We are first and foremost
